Thank you to those members who continue to serve on the Board and keep the gallery running. We welcome members who are new to the board who give us fresh ideas and perspective as well as their hard work!

Job Descriptions for Open Positions

Gallery Exhibits Director - works with individual artist showings and group shows/invitationals to coordinate hanging of work and the removal of work at the end of the showings. During the months where there is a group showing, the director needs to be available two afternoons that month: usually on the Thursday afternoon previous to a new show from 2 to 4:30.  Members of the Thursday group are usually available to help hang work. The Director also needs to be at the gallery on the last Sunday afternoon of a group showing from 3:30-4:30 PM to pass back work. Group showings need someone to type the display tags for the exhibit. There are a minimum of three group shows per year. For 2015, those months are February, July, May, and Nov/Dec (Holiday Showcase)
Hangings for showings by individual artists are using handled by the artist.

Artist Contracts/Exhibits Coordinator: Handles all paperwork and other work related to the applications, contracts, checklists and inventory lists and details involved in artist applying for and being approved for exhibits/shows at the Gallery and reports to the Board on these matters. The coordinator is also responsible for coordinating all details with the approved artist for the actual installation, exhibit, and uninstalling of their month long shows, coordinating this activity with the PR Director, the Newsletter writer, the Website Director, the Gallery Reception Director, the Treasurer, andthe Keeper of the Keys, and the Board of Directors as necessary. 

Gallery Grounds - we need an ADDITIONAL volunteer to coordinate and maintain the gallery grounds. This includes landscaping, lawn, sidewalks, parking lot and the lawn.  Also includes coordinating snow removal in the winter. If you love the working outdoors, this job is for you. Our gallery grants director is available to assist you with funding special projects.
